Crufts, the Largest Dog Congregation in the World

Crufts, the biggest and the craziest dog show that the world has ever seen, took place from 10th to 13th March in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK completing its 125 years. An annual event presented by The Kennel Club, it aims to celebrate our four legged furry friends and is awarded as the largest show of its kind by the Guinness World Records. Primarily a dog show, it aims at awarding the most niche pedigrees in the world based on different criteria of judgement. To add to the festival, there are numerous stalls put up by different traders of dog goods and other exciting activities for all dogs and their parents.

Crufts

The 2016 edition witnessed participation by over 200 breeds, pet parents and dog enthusiasts who travelled from across the globe to be a part of this event. It gave the people a worthwhile opportunity to meet like-minded people, other dog parents and have their pooches interact with each other. Amongst multiple titles, the most prestigious ‘Best in Show’ competition went to a West Highland White Terrier who stood out amongst 22,000 entries.
