BYOD: Stars of the Show

Says Mr. Dog:

“Putting a bow tie on my collar for a brunch with other tail-waggers, taking out my favourite costume for a pool party with my furry friends, lying down next to my human wondering if Marley will come out of that screen and share the popcorn with me...these are just a few things I’ve been into lately.

Pet Fed’s Bring Your Own Dog (BYOD) series has turned me into a social animal like how. I’ll take a minute to tell you all about it. Organized every alternate Sunday, BYOD events bring together many of my furry friends and their humans for brunches, doggy pool parties, movie screenings, treasure hunts and more. Some humans come without pooches and try their best to win our hearts but I’m very picky. From my interactions with fellow tail-waggers and their humans, these five stood out clearly as the Stars of the Show. Over to their humans for the introductions!”

Heruka

Heruka

“Heruka came to us at 40 days old, a tiny baby with a discolored eye. Little did we know then that he will actually turn out to be a handsome blue eyed dude. We named him HERUKA, a manifestation of the Buddha, a powerful but loving and kind deity, and it is believed that anyone who takes his name or even hears it, receives blessings from the venerable Heruka himself.”

Candy and Russel
Candy & Russel

“I am a proud parent to the two naughtiest furry babies in the world, Candy and Russel. Candy is an obedient 7-month old Spitz and Russel is the spoilt 6-month old Labrador. No matter how different they may be from each other, their favourite passtime is to chew my furniture, mattress, clothes, shoes and what not! They are just like kids who always want your attention and with their innocent puppy eyes, manage to get away with anything at all.”

Archie
Archie

Archie came into our lives when he was only 39 days old, soon after which we discovered that our beautiful Shih Tzu pup could be suffering from canine distemper. We began to live in fear as this could be a question of life and death for our baby boy. Sleepless nights and many emotional breakdowns followed. A month later we were relieved to discard canine distemper as a possibility and his seizures began to reduce in frequency. He began to grow into a healthy, naughty and intelligent child. Today he understands about 12 commands! It is his first birthday next month and I can’t thank him enough for pushing us to become better pet parents.”

Bond

Bond

“The day I decided to adopt Bond was the best day of my life. Since the day he came into my life, I have a friend, companion, stress buster and a loving baby with me. The love in his eyes and his tail wagging make Bond the coolest, cutest, most gentle and the most loving pet anyone could ask for. Couldn’t agree more with Anatole France’s quote, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” This is what Bond has taught me. The love he has given me has made me feel like he’s actually adopted me, rather than the other way round.”

Bubble
Bubbles
“Bubble Singh is my partner in crime and together we are two bandits in my mum’s arena.  One incident I particularly remember was our first flight together from Delhi to Mumbai. Everyone on the flight (including Aamir Khan in the first class) knew how scared we were. Even the captain came out of the cockpit and tried his best to console me.

Bubble makes each passing day a delight. Because of her, I’ve become a more humble, responsible and grounded person. She taught me what the simple joys of life mean. She’s truly the soul of our home.”
