Cyberabad Police Dog Tina Receives Full Guard of Honour

Cyberabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar and other officials gave guard of honour to Tina, the sniffer dog, who has been part of Cyberabad Police for the last 10 years.

Tina has served during the period of former DGP Anurag Sharma, former Cyberabad Commissioners of Police CV Anand and Sandeep Shandilya. Cyberabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar, Traffic DCP SM Vijay Kumar and several other top officials from Cyberabad were present to bid adieu to Tina.

A wreath was laid, the band performed and a three-round gun firing was given as a tribute to the brave Cocker Spaniel. Tina had served the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate for a period of ten years.

Born on August 2, 2011, Tina retired on August 23 last year. She was trained at IITA Moinabad 2012th batch in explosive detection as a sniffer dog. She was the winner for second best performance. She died on Wednesday due to an illness.

Ceremony

Apart from the regular duties and routine checks, Tina was involved in anti-sabotage checks, during VVIP movements, RGIA (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) helipad checks as well as during emergency threat calls. 

Her services were used when there was threat call at JNTU and at Gandipet in 2014, for Open House Demo at Cyberabad Parade Ground, demo at Gachibowli Stadium, BioDiversity COP II duties and when then US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump had visited Hyderabad in 2017.
