Pets in Delhi are loved and spoilt to the core by their humans in all ways possible. But, there is one thing that pooches in Delhi miss out on. What is that you ask? It is spending quality time with their humans in the most appropriate setting. What better way to do that than to go for a fun-filled brunch or a relaxing dinner with your pooch? Some kind souls have come up with a solution to this and to the delight of pet parents, opened up pet-friendly cafes and restaurants across Delhi and NCR.
Puppychino
A first of its kind in Delhi, Puppychino, launched on 16th April 2016 in Shahpur Jat, is an indoor dog friendly café that has exclusive menus for both dogs and humans. The doggie menu includes pancakes, ice creams and cupcakes in different flavours and is sure to keep your pooch wanting to come back for more. The café has a separate play area for dogs, complete with a trainer and chew toys. In addition to good food for humans, they offer goodies like chew toys and sticks and fun leashes for dogs that can be purchased from the store itself. The owners, Mallika and Nayayni Tandon said that the inspiration behind creating a café of this sort were their two dogs Simba (Siberian Husky) and Bobo (Labrador).

Tabula Beach Café
The Tabula Beach Café, owned by Sahil Gupta, is yet another excellent option if you are looking to spend some quality time with your dog. Head here for a day long vacation vibe complete with delicious Italian, Mexican and soul food, sheesha and a wide range of cocktails. The outdoor space of the café is dog friendly from Monday to Saturday,12 pm to 5 pm. Sahil, who has three dogs of his own, and has visited several dog friendly cafes abroad was determined to try this concept in India. He says, “I wanted to create a nice, friendly environment and the dogs really seem to love the sand.” The café provides doggie treats (free of cost!) and is equipped with water bowls outdoors. It is open to the street dogs of the area, who can come and play in the sand during the day. Tabula is open to considering other pets like cats and bunnies into the premises as well.

Café RED Garden Kitchen
When talking about outdoor pet-friendly cafes in Delhi NCR, one cannot simply resist mentioning Café RED. The café boasts of a global menu complete with wood-fired oven pizzas and mocktails. The menu changes every six months to keep things gastronomically intriguing. The owner, Sumit, an animal lover and pet parent, says, “Animals belong in open spaces where they can play around and have fun,” which is his thought behind making the café pet-friendly. The café has witnessed only doggie guests till now but they are open to other pets too. They do not provide any meals for the dogs exclusively but allow pet parents to bring their own to feed the pooches. Visitors can come over with their dogs at any time of the day and the outdoor garden space is just perfect for the dogs to chill, roll over, run around and get pampered in!
When: Monday to Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Supermart 2, DLF, Phase 4, Gurgaon
Throttle Shrottle
Throttle Shrottle is primarily a dog park and a biker workshop turned café equipped with a swimming pool, food, toys and much more for visitors and their lovely pooches. The dog menu includes dishes like soup or a meal in a bowl cooked with available fresh ingredients at INR 100. The people menu includes snacks such as bun maska, sandwiches, dimsums, paranthas and more. The café hosts a variety of musical and cultural performances every Friday evening. So, if you have a lust for good food and music while spending time with your pooch, this is the place for you.
When: Daily, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Where: Gurgaon - Faridabad Rd, Baliawas, Bandhwari, Haryana
